Deregistration from the business census
Stopping is not done only by ceasing to invoice. The deregistration is declared on the census, on modelo 036 or on modelo 037 if your case fits.
What the deregistration reports
The deregistration tells the Tax Agency that you are ceasing the activity. The last quarter’s forms can still fall due: closing that period does not disappear because you asked to deregister. Check which returns for that quarter you still have to file.
- Deregistration is a census return.
- The last quarter can still have forms due.
- Stopping invoices is not the deregistration.
Box 111 is not a deregistration
Box 111 is registration on the census of entrepreneurs, professionals, and withholders: the first time, or the return after a deregistration. Do not tick it to stop. Factura Fácil does not file the deregistration. You send it on the Tax Agency site.

Does box 111 deregister me?
No. Box 111 is the first registration or the return after a deregistration. The app does not file the deregistration.
