A simplified invoice with a tax ID so you can deduct

A simplified invoice can include the customer’s tax ID and address when they need them to deduct VAT. Without those details, the expense may not support the deduction. In the app, you still confirm the expense yourself.

Completing the simplified invoice

The Tax Agency explains that a simplified invoice, for the recipient to deduct, has to include their tax ID and their address. Royal Decree 1619/2012 is what allows those details to be added. A ticket with only the shop’s total is not enough for that deduction. Completing them does not turn every expense into a deductible one: the operation has to be deductible, and you confirm the expense in the account.

  • The customer’s tax ID and address, if they want to deduct.
  • Without them, the expense may not support VAT.
  • Confirming the expense in the app is still your step.

The expense does not enter on its own

Factura Fácil can store the receipt. A tax ID on the ticket does not record the expense by itself: you confirm it. If the tax ID and the address are missing, do not treat that paper as supporting the VAT deduction.

Common questions

Is a restaurant ticket enough?

To deduct VAT, the simplified invoice needs your tax ID and your address, or a full invoice. Without that, the expense may not support the deduction.

Does the app treat the expense as deductible when I upload it?

No. You confirm the expense. The tax ID on the paper does not replace that confirmation and does not decide the deduction.
