Invoicing without the registration in place
An invoice dated before the census registration and RETA does not complete the filing. Creating the document in the app does not register you either.
The date has to be covered
You should not issue an invoice for a day the census and RETA do not yet cover. The census registration is filed before the activity starts. The activity starts when you deliver goods, provide services, buy, collect, pay, or hire for it.
- The census and RETA have to cover that day.
- Census registration comes before the start.
- An earlier invoice does not replace the filing.
Creating the invoice is not the registration
Factura Fácil numbers the invoice if you create it. That does not file modelo 036 and does not enrol you in RETA. Registration is explained in registering as an autónomo.
Common questions
Can I invoice and register the following week?
No. The invoice date has to be covered by the census and by RETA. Census registration comes before you start.
If the app lets me create the invoice, am I registered?
No. Creating the invoice does not register you. The census is filed on the Tax Agency site and RETA at Social Security.
